↠ ABOUT THE TOUR ↞
Get Up And Go Kayaking to Don Pedro Island is a great trip for those looking to explore a secluded island paradise in our crystal clear kayaks, a top-rated experience close to Punta Gorda and Sarasota!
On our unique 2.5 hour guided eco-tour, you will paddle through scenic mangrove tunnels and over the jellyfish gardens of Don Pedro Island State Park before we explore the beach! This adventure includes an intermediate paddle that can be through active areas on the weekends. We paddle through winding, mangrove
tunnels into a hidden lagoon in search of manatees, dolphins, rays, birds, turtles, jellyfish, and more! Don Pedro Island’s 7-mile white sandy beach is a paradise for sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, and shelling!
Keep an eye out for the occasional shark tooth on Don Pedro Island, as it is well known for its fossilized shark teeth! There will be an opportunity to get out of your clear kayak and explore the beach, depending on the tides. We’ll be able to stretch our legs and keep a look out for the marine life that call these coastal Sarasota waters home – starfish, conch, crabs, sponges, snails, and so many others!
Learn about local marine life, vegetation, and surrounding Charlotte county areas with our experienced guides and naturalists! They love taking photos for our guests, so feel free to bring your phone and ask for a few awesome shots! Our Don Pedro kayak tour is close to Gasparilla Island, Palm Island, Naples, Fort Myers, Englewood, Boca Grande, Venice, Sanibel, Siesta Key, Anna Maria Island, and Sarasota.

Danny

Danny’s love of all things water began at a young age. Growing up in Miami he spent every spare moment on the beach. He went from running into waves as they rolled on the beach as a kid to riding them as an amateur skim boarder, surfer and paddler of all water crafts. Danny’s father, a former competitive paddler for the Cuban National Team introduced him to the sport of kayaking at a young age. His parents nurtured and encouraged his love of nature and all things outdoors. As a Florida Master Naturalist an avid nature lover, adventurer and explorer his passion for the environment and conservation drives him to introduce more people to the joy of these experiences through offering unique clear kayak ecotours on the Weeki Wachee River and Pine Island an hour north of Tampa and at Don Pedro Island just south of Sarasota. Danny also shares his love for all things Florida flora and fauna as an avid content creator with a focus on storytelling and videography. In addition to his certification as a Naturalist, Danny is CPR and ACA certified, a Guardian guide with Save the Manatees Club, volunteers with Eagle Watch and participates in Florida Springs advocacy. Keera is a happy-go-lucky kind of guide that has a great attitude with the intention to make your day. Having a surplus of knowledge on the flora and fauna that can be found in the sunshine state and being a local surfer and open sea swimmer over 8 years, she has a profound understanding of tides, nautical charts, and precarious weather. She actively participates in local volunteer and ecological programs to support her local communities and to inspire others to care for our planet. Keera makes it a point and part of her personal ethos to reduce plastic use and also within her independent women’s surf wear & accessory brand, Vital Surf Gear.
