Why Is Crystal River Perfect For First Time Kayakers?

Our guides will support you from the moment you arrive, showing you the kayaks, how to hold the paddle, and talk through any questions you might have! Once you’re on the water, you’ll get a detailed demo of how to paddle forward, backwards, and even turn around. Not only are they trained professional guides that can handle any situation on the water, but they will also show you the best wildlife spots and crack jokes as you paddle. You will feel like a part of the Get up and Go Family in no time!

At Crystal River, the water is calm, and you’ll never be too far from shore! As you traverse Kings Bay and into the channels leading to Three Sisters Springs, you will find that it is an easy paddle–especially in our tandem kayaks, where you can work as a team to move through the water. Depending on the tide, sometimes you may even see the riverbed underneath you as you paddle, showing off just how shallow it can be at times!
