Adventure That Brings You Closer — What That Means at Get Up And Go Kayaking – Gilchrist Blue
Just a short drive from Gainesville, Get Up And Go Kayaking – Gilchrist Blue offers one of the most peaceful escapes in North Florida. Our clear kayak tours create the perfect opportunity to reconnect with nature, enjoy meaningful time with friends and family, and experience Florida outdoors!

Closer to Each Other
One of the most special things about our tours is how they pull people away from everyday life’s distractions, allowing you to really experience Florida’s great outdoors. Our small-group tours help you truly connect, not just with each other but also with your guide. We enjoy getting to know our guests and sharing stories, spotting wildlife, and creating moments you won’t find anywhere else. It’s the kind of experience that naturally brings people together. Adventuring together as friends and family, and building memories that last a lifetime.
Closer to Nature

Gilchrist Blue Springs and the Santa Fe River are home to some of Florida’s most diverse wildlife. Out here, you get to see it all up close but always in a safe, respectful way.
During any paddle, you might see mullet jumping next to your kayak, pass turtles sunbathing on the logs and tree branches, notice Red Ludwigia under the kayak, and maybe even catch an egret taking flight over the river. It’s peaceful, it’s real, and it shows how wild and beautiful Florida is. There’s a chance here to experience nature like you never have before.
Being tucked away in the country means you get all of this without the crowds. No city noise. No rush. Just nature doing what nature does.
Closer to the Heart of Florida

Our tours are in the perfect spot to explore even more of what makes North Florida special. The lower Santa Fe River alone has 36 named springs, and probably many more that haven’t been mapped yet.
Some of Florida’s top outdoor destinations are right around the corner:
- Ichetucknee Springs — 20 minutes from the world-famous tube float!
- Ginnie Springs — a short float or drive away and home to the world-famous cave diving system “The Devil’s Ear”.
- University of Florida, “UF” — 30 minutes to Gainesville, Florida
- Poe Springs — also close range, either by driving distance, or paddle the river! It’s a fun afternoon paddle and exercise about 40mins up river from Rum Island County Park!
Whether you want tubing, snorkelling, paddling, swimming holes, or just a perfect day outdoors, you’re closer to all of it here in High Springs, Florida.
Adventure That Brings You Closer

At the end of the day, that’s what our tours are all about: bringing you closer to nature, closer to each other, and closer to the unforgettable adventure outdoors and in Florida’s springs.
