TARPON SPRINGS, FL – Every winter, Tarpon Springs welcomes some very special visitors. As temperatures drop, manatees gather in the warm waters of Spring Bayou, and Get Up And Go Kayaking- Tampa Bay is bringing back its seasonal Manatee Season Clear Kayak Tours for another year of wildlife encounters on the water.

Available November through March, the guided two-hour eco-tour takes guests along the Anclote River and into Spring Bayou, where manatees are known to gather during the cooler months. Along the way, guests can also experience Tarpon Springs’ historic waterfront, mangrove habitats and vibrant wildlife from a 100% clear kayak.

For many visitors, Tarpon Springs is synonymous with its famous Sponge Docks, Greek culture and historic waterfront. The Manatee Season Clear Kayak Tour offers a different way to experience the same destination; one that trades the busy waterfront for quiet bayous and the perspective of a paddle-powered adventure.

Along the way, guides share stories about the area’s Greek heritage, the history of the Sponge Docks and the unique ecosystems surrounding Tarpon Springs. The seasonal tour accommodates small groups of no more than 10 guests, creating a more personal experience on the water. Tours are suitable for all kayaking skill levels, with guides providing basic paddling and safety instruction before departure. Private tours are also available upon request.
