What Is Trip Protection?
* Please note, that each Get up and Go Kayaking Franchise may have slightly different cancellation policies.
At Crystal and Chaz River, our tours are all sales are final. Luckily, when you select Trip Protection at the time of booking, your trip is insured, and you can breathe knowing you’ll be fine if anything pops up. Here is the official policy:
“Purchasing Trip Protection allows you to cancel or reschedule your initial tour at any time for any reason up to 12 hours prior to your scheduled tour time. You will be reimbursed for the full amount of each ticket, less the cost of trip protection, taxes, and fees. This policy does not apply to bookings made less than 12 hours in advance. If you do not have Trip Protection, then all sales are final.”
So what does this all mean? By purchasing Trip Protection at 10% the cost of your reservation, you are able to remove people from your booking, change the date of your trip, or fully cancel your reservation (minus the cost of the Trip Protection and fees)–as long as it is 12 hours or more prior to the start of your tour! If further clarification is needed on our policy, always feel free to reach out to us!
Weather
In the case of unsafe weather conditions, we will let you know as soon as possible if we need to cancel your tour. You will then have the option to reschedule without fees or get a full refund. Unfortunately, we can’t control the weather (although we wish we could!).

We always recommend utilizing Trip Protection, because on vacation…always expect the unexpected. From food poisoning to flat tires, misjudging the travel time, pet emergencies or even just a change of heart- Trip Protection will cover it all, no matter the reason. As long as you’re timely and update us by text, email or phone before 12hrs prior to your trip, you’re good!
